  • serves present and future residents of Whidbey Island by supporting a healthy environment and promoting voluntary, incentive-based options for conserving natural resources through educational outreach as well as technical and financial assistance.
  • As legal sub-divisions of Washington State government, conservation districts are self-governed by a five-member volunteer board that establishes local priorities and sets policy. The Whidbey Island Conservation District (WICD) Board is composed of local farmers, landowners, and concerned citizens and is dedicated to maintaining Whidbey Island’s renewable natural resources
